Jackie lived a pretty boring life.
"EAT!"
"SLEEP."
"HOMEWORK."
It was all the same, even if from time to time her parents to go a bit over the regular serving of beer and wine. Resulting in Jackie in the hospital, doctors asking questions and fixing her right up. Jackie would do what her parents said when they got back even if she shouldn't when she was hurt. She did it. Causing tears and weeps inside. At the age of seven, There were no more tears. School was hardly any different. At school, Jackie would keep her head down and inside cry. Nothing would happen. People loved to pull on her hair. So she would cry and cry until suddenly, a rock was thrown at their head from nowhere. They would run and cry while Jackie sat there, wondering what had just happened. And so, Jackie slowly grew stronger in moral and told off some kids. Annoying and bossy. Jackie back then. She loved the outdoors, it was just her. Until it was the time to go to sleep at seven o'clock PM. And Jackie would read books until her parents went to sleep. Then she slept happily. It was happiness in a nutshell.

Then Laura came.

In an apology for hurting her the first time, her father made her treehouse and Jackie loved spending time in it. Tea time and lunchtime was in the treehouse. It was like her own home when Jackie was there. She would kill bugs that came in and play with her dolls around she was called in. Oh such fun was always in the treehouse. One day, at the age of ripe eight. Jackie came in the treehouse expecting only dolls and stuffed animals to be there. There was another girl in there, sleeping. She stared at the girl for only a few seconds before screaming, "WHO ARE AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY TREEHOUSE!" Three times until it brought results. "Laura, sleeping." Blinking at this, she frowned slightly and replied,
"Get out Laura."

"I don't snore."
A bigger frown.
"Fine. Don't make noise."
Laura continued to sleep in the treehouse and Jackie brought blankets and pillows because the treehouse had a hard floor. Jackie would come in and find Laura happily there and Jackie would sigh and play her games with Laura. Then a week passed. And it was a blogging day. What would happen then?

Soon, Jackie spend another hour on her computer, typing about her life and how much it sucked.
"Whatcha doing?"
Tensing up in only seconds, Jackie continued to type and replied, "Blogging"
"Cool. What's it about?"
"My life n' stuff. Why?"
Turning around, Jackie stared at Laura. She had never noticed that the girl had blue eyes.
"Just curious."
"Hm." She had felt something in Jackie's heart.
What was it?
Friendship.

"Are we there yet?"
That was Jackie when she was younger. Skipping around merrily. Looking up at the big white sky happily and she didn't know what was wrong with her. The disease crossing the nation, of being called Gifted. Dying her hair stupidily at the time. It was now a brown. As it will be later on in the book 2-3 book in her attempt to turn it into the nice purple she liked. Dirt. The sweet color of dirt that you could smell and be like "EW!" Or throw it. All of the cute things little kids did.
Jackie had wandered away with Laura.
"Where are we going Jackie?"
"Something special."
"Oh!"
There was a spring and they sat at the edge playing around happily.
"HAHA!"
"haha!"
Then Laura fell in. "LAURA!" A scream and Laura floated up from the water and walked across it.
"How did you do that?"
"Can't everyone do it?"
"You must be special."
It had all started.
A week later Jackie found out she did Earth.
Laura and Jackie walked happily until they found Twi and Dawn.
